Stacie is currently recovering from the surgical procedure she had a few weeks ago during which her remaining breast tumors were removed. The surgery was fully paid in cash with the proceeds from the April Author Auction! We have 27 Harry Potter authors up for bid in the Author Auction this weekend and I wanted to ask you all to please take a moment to mention this to your f-lists. :-)  While the Gilmore Girls, Doctor Who and Twilight fandoms are generating a lot of chatter, I don't think that the Harry Potter fandom is as aware of the auction, judging by the amount ( Read more... )

Holy crap. At 11:59:00 CDT I opened up the Support Stacie Author Auction tonight. In under 60 seconds we had hundreds of dollars in bids as dozens of readers swarmed the board! I'm just blown away by the enthusiasm!

When all the applications were entered, we ended up with 144 authors in 58 fandoms with a total of 184 total auctions posted!
